A California man was arrested this morning for driving under the influence and reckless endangerment.
Officers responded to a motor vehicle accident near Old Shiloh Road after midnight and found a car on its side in the creek. According to the report, the driver, Daniel Wright, was reportedly swaying while standing in the roadway beside the vehicle and had no shoes on his feet. He was asked how much he had to drink and replied too much. He told officers on a scale of 1-10, his level of intoxication was a three.
Wright did poorly on sobriety tests. He was arrested and charged with DUI. Two passengers, including a juvenile, were with Wright at the time of the crash and left the scene before the police department’s arrival. They were eventually located on Rayley Court in Greeneville.
