The Andrew Johnson Heritage Association is seeking donations to purchase wreaths for over 2,000 Veterans’ graves at the Andrew Johnson National Cemetery for their launch “A Christmas Gift of Remembrance.”
Through this drive, people can donate toward wreaths for placement on Veterans’ graves for just $8.50. National Wreaths Across America Day will be December 17, and a ceremony is scheduled at 11:30 AM that day at the Andrew Johnson National Cemetery. The Cemetery will be one of more than 1,600 sites in the country and abroad participating in the event ‘Wreaths Across America’, which originally began in 1992.
To make a donation toward one or more wreaths, a check or cash can be mailed to the Andrew Johnson Heritage Association, P.O. Box 5971, Greeneville. Include a return address, contact information, and note if you wish the wreath(s) be given in memory or in honor of a Veteran.
