Several were indicted on domestic assault and aggravated assault charges Monday by the Greene County Grand Jury including a Greeneville man.
Christopher R. Gillespie, of the 70 Bypass, was indicted on two separate incidents and charged with domestic assault and two counts of aggravated assault. Gillespie reportedly caused bodily injury to another person on February 23, 2021. He also allegedly assaulted a person on September 10, 2023 by strangling them. In addition to the strangulation, he reportedly used a baseball bat to assault the victim, which is considered a deadly weapon.
A Hartman Lane woman, Monica K Fischi, was indicted and charged with aggravated assault, burglary, simple possession of a scheduled II controlled substance, that being Methamphetamine, and resisting arrest. On October 4, 2023 Fischi reportedly entered the home of another person without their consent to commit an assault. She reportedly caused fear of injury with the display of a knife. Fischi allegedly possessed Methamphetamine and resisted arrest by obstructing the Greene County Sheriff’s Department from conducting the arrest.
Gavin R. Johns of West Turner Ridge Road in Newport was indicted and charged with domestic assault and aggravated assault for reportedly causing bodily injury to another person within his home on October 2, 2023 by using a knife.
Brent Fox of Shiloh Road was indicted and charged with domestic assault after reportedly assaulting a person on March 2, 2024.
Daniel Buell Of Apple Street in Greenville was indicted and charged with aggravated assault after assaulting a woman and reportedly strangling her.
