A man and woman were seriously injured in a head-on collision Friday afternoon along Jones Bridge Road, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
Around 5:40 PM Friday, 24-year-old Bryson Woods of Greeneville was traveling southbound in the 1500 block of Jones Bridge Road. His 2015 Nissan Versa crossed into the northbound lane near Jim Fox Road and struck a 2018 Toyota Sienna driven by 58-year-old Brent Hoppe.
Both Woods and his passenger, 28-year-old Kailyn Woods, were flown by Highlands and Lifestar for treatment of serious injuries. Neither occupant of the Nissan was wearing a seat belt. Hoppe, who was wearing a seatbelt, was also injured and was transported by EMS.
According to THP, charges are pending against Bryson Woods. The investigation into Friday’s wreck is continuing.
