A Greeneville man was charged with DUI after wrecking his vehicle Thursday night on South McKee Street.
The Greeneville Police Department responded around 9:30 PM on the report of a truck that had wrecked and nearly hit a residence. Upon arrival, police found a yellow pickup truck with Barry Lilley standing next to it.
Lilley appeared intoxicated while trying to explain how the crash occurred, which was not far from his residence. He reportedly performed poorly on field sobriety tests, which were conducted at a nearby pavilion at Hardin Park. He then told police he had three vodka shots an hour prior to the wreck.
Lilley was arrested for DUI, driving on a suspended license, and violation of the financial responsibility law.
