A snake reportedly caused a breaker box fire Thursday afternoon at East Tennessee Forest Products on Pottertown Road.
Emergency personnel responded to the report of an electrical fire shortly after 2:30 PM. According to the Greene County Sheriff’s Department report, a snake crawled into one of the breaker boxes and caused it to short out. No structure was involved in the fire as it was contained to an outside breaker box.
Greeneville Energy Authority was on the scene and removed power to the affected area. No injures were reported.
