The Greeneville City School Board of Education will meet this afternoon at 5 PM for their regular school board meeting. The board is meeting earlier in the month as the budget is due to the City Council, according to the Administrative Assistant to the Director of Schools.
The agenda includes special recognition to several students from SCOPE, the LEGO Team, Tusculum College Math Competition, Character Ed, Aspiring Leadership Academy, GHS Wrestling Team, GHS Girls’ Basketball, Microsoft Academic and Microsoft Word Specialists.
Items on the agenda to be reviewed include policy revisions to Drug & Alcohol Testing, Harassment of Employees (Sexual, Racial, Ethnic, Religious), Complaints About School Personnel, Director of Schools’ Duties, Evaluation of the Director of Schools, Married and/or Pregnant Students, Foreign Exchange Students, Homeless Students, Migrant Students, Students in Foster Care, Students from Military Families, and Media Access to Students.
Furthermore, the board will approve school trips and consider the May 2024 School Nutrition Equipment Disposal Request. The board will meet at the Kathryn W. Leonard Administrative Office on 129 West Depot Street.
