A High Wind Watch will be in effect for Southeast Greene County from Wednesday evening through Thursday afternoon.
Winds of 40 to 50 mph, with gusts up to 70 mph will be possible.
Damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages will be possible. Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
Other areas of the county may experience wind gusts up to 35 mph through Thursday afternoon.
Showers remain in the forecast through Thursday night, with the possibility of thunderstorms.
