A man’s lawn mower caught fire yesterday on the 500 block of Jones Chapel Road.
The fire was reported after 10:30 AM when the victim said his lawn mower began to smoke. According to the report, while mowing the lawn the mower stopped working. The victim believes it may have over heated so he said he let it cool down but after attempting to finish the yard, smoke began to come out from the hood area and a fire began.
United Volunteer Fire Department personnel arrived on the scene and were able to extinguish the fire. No injuries were reported.
