One person died in a single vehicle accident on Interstate 81 on Wednesday.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol is continuing their investigation into the circumstances of the accident and has not yet released any information on the cause of the wreck or the identity of the driver.
The accident happened just before 6PM right at the Weigh Station near mile marker 19. Traffic was diverted through the Weight Station while investigation of the wreck continued.
EMS, Greeneville Emergency & Rescue Squad, Mosheim and Town of Mosheim Volunteer Fire Departments responded to the scene.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol will release more information as the investigation continues.
