The Tennessee Department of Education has announced state school and district designations for the 2022-23 school year.
Designations of Reward and Exemplary schools are based on various performance indicators, including student achievement and growth. A school is recognized as a Reward school when it has an overall school score of 3.1 or higher per federal accountability calculation.
In Greene County Schools, Reward school status was granted to Baileyton Elementary School, along with Chuckey-Doak, North Greene and West Greene Middle School and Chuckey-Doak and North Greene High School. In Greeneville City Schools, Eastview Elementary School was named a Reward school.
A total of 400 schools, spanning 98 districts across the state, received the Reward school designation.
