A man was transported to Johnson City Medical Center following a stabbing incident at a Unaka Street residence Tuesday evening.
The victim came to the Greeneville Police Department bleeding profusely with a severe laceration to his left arm and the left side of his body near his rib cage. Officers applied a tourniquet to his arm and called for EMS. The victim said his daughter’s boyfriend stabbed him following an argument over borrowing the victim’s vehicle. The victim was taken to Greeneville Community Hospital and then airlifted to the Johnson City Medical Center.
Officers went to the Unaka Street residence to conduct a further investigation. A resident of the home allowed police to search for the victim’s daughter and her boyfriend. However, the two had fled the scene.
Officers spoke with the victim’s daughter over the phone and instructed her and her boyfriend to meet them at the house or the police department. The two never showed up.
A warrant has been issued for the suspect for aggravated assault. His girlfriend is facing a charge of accessory after the fact.
