GREENEVILLE, Tenn. — Matt Moore has been tabbed as the National Libero of the Week, announced by Off the Block on Monday (Feb. 19). This marks the first career honor for Moore and the first accolade for the program’s defensive position.
The Longwood, Florida native led the back row in the Pioneers’ reverse sweep of Thomas More on Friday (Feb. 16). The sophomore tallied a match-best 14 digs and did not record a reception error in 22 attempts in the comeback victory.
In the TU record book, the dig total is tied for second-most in a five-set match in program history.
Tusculum plays its fourth ranked opponent of the season on Tuesday (Feb. 20) night when the Pioneers host No. 19 Lincoln Memorial. First serve from Pioneer Arena is scheduled for 6 p.m.
