Two people were arrested after they were reported at a known drug house on Monday morning.
The Greeneville Police Department received a report of a suspicious vehicle at a known drug house on Fry Street. Officers spotted the car and conducted a traffic stop at the Roadrunner Market on East Andrew Johnson Highway. The driver was identified as Victor Thompson of Cox Circle, while a female passenger refused to identify herself. The woman finally gave a name, but it was discovered to be false. She was then correctly identified as Sarah Darnell of Elk Street, who had an active warrant for violation of probation.
A bag containing multiple narcotics was found in Darnell’s possession. Thompson told officers there was a sawed-off shotgun in the backseat. Both Thompson and Darnell were taken into custody.
A total of 34 grams of methamphetamine, 1 gram of a heroin, a large number of baggies, scales, 3 Xanax, 1 orange pill believed to be suboxone, 1 half of a blue pill believed to Fentanyl, and an unknown capsule pill were found on Darnell and in her backpack.
Darnell was charged with the felony manufacture, delivery, sale of possession of meth, possession of schedule 1, 3, and 6 drugs, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Thompson had a small baggie of meth on his person at the Greene County Detention Center. He was charged with prohibited weapons, unlawful carrying or possession of a weapon, possession of meth, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
