The Greeneville City Council meeting scheduled for this afternoon (Tuesday, January 16,2024) has been cancelled.
The Greeneville City Council will meeting is this afternoon and the agenda includes a mid year update with the Greeneville Parks and Recreation Department as well as an introduction from the 2023-2024 Town of Greeneville Youth Commission students.
The City Council will consider re-appointing Erin Stayton to the Greeneville/Greene County Library Board of Trustees for a three year term. Also for consideration on the agenda is approving the purchase of police vehicles and equipment to upfit police vehicles for the Greeneville Police Department with the Violent Crime Grant. The GPD is additionally requesting to move forward in entering a grant agreement with the Tennessee Highway Safety Office.
The City Council will meet at 4 PM in the G. Thomas Love Boardroom at the Greeneville Energy Authority Building.
