A Jonesborough woman has been charged in connection with a burglary in Limestone on Tuesday.
According to a press release from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a trespassing call in the 100 block of Ward Rowe Road in Limestone around 9 AM Tuesday. The property owner reported that 37-year-old Takisha Harmon attempted to climb a barbed wire fence. Harmon pulled a sign off a post and ran toward the road. She then allegedly kicked a fence and ripped the underpinning off a house to hide under the structure.
Deputies discovered Harmon gained entry from underneath the house and was inside. Once she was back outside, her erratic behavior led to a public intoxication charge. She was transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries sustained to her hands. She was then booked into the Washington County Detention Center and additionally charged with burglary, criminal trespass and vandalism.
