A man was arrested this morning for Criminal Trespassing and Vandalism.
Officers responded to a call around 1:20 this morning of a man entering a vacant apartment.
According to the report, a witness told police they heard a loud bang, and saw a male using a lawn chair to break a window of an apartment in the 1100 block of Arnold Road. Officers arrived and found a chair and broken window, and reportedly could see a male matching the description given within the vacant apartment.
According to police, the man locked the front door after trying to leave and hearing the officers. The man, later identifed as Avisey Diaz, went into a second bedroom and exited by a window.
Diaz was checked by EMS for a cut on his arm. After he was released, he was placed under arrest for Aggravated Criminal Trespass and Vandalism.
