A local landlord reported theft from a rental property on Thursday.
Greene County police responded to a report of larceny on Old Stage Road at around 3 p.m. yesterday.
The victim told officers that he had a tenant move out last week. He stated that when entering the rental property, he noticed that some items were missing.
According to the report, he was unable to find a furnace worth $3,500.
When the victim contacted the recently moved tenant, the suspect allegedly stated he put them in a building on the property.
The victim told police that the furnace and other items were nowhere to be found.
The investigation is continuing.
