Three structure fires were reported over the weekend.
Greene County Fire Department reported a structure fire at 7251 Houston Valley Road yesterday.
South Greene Fire Department received a call at around noon Monday regarding an isolated garage fire.
The blaze was quickly contained and able to be put out.
The garage was deemed a complete loss with no known cause of the fire. There were no injuries at the time of the report.
South Greene, Cedar Creek, St. James, Debusk rehab division, Greeneville energy authority, and Greene County Sheriff’s department responded to the scene.
A structure fire was reported on Saturday at 45 Oakdale Drive.
Officers spoke with the tenant who stated that he had recently refilled his propane tank and went to turn on his gas stove when the fire flashed and caused the blaze. The $200,000 Home was deemed a total loss.
A house fire on the Kingsport highway was reported by the Greene County sheriff’s office on Friday.
According to the report, upon arrival, flames were visible and coming from the roof of the $100,000 home.
After the fire was put out, the cause was suspected to be plant heat lamps in the home.
Newmansville, Tusculum, and Limestone Fire Departments all responded to the scene.
