Sean Williams was transported to back to jail Wednesday following a reported suicide attempt and his arraignment today for his Second Superseding Indictment remains scheduled for 2:00 PM.
On Tuesday afternoon, Williams was delivered by the U.S. Marshals Service airlift, to the Eastern District of Tennessee and transported to the Blount County Jail in Maryville, TN by Deputy U.S. Marshals.
Upon arrival at the Jail, Williams was placed in an isolation cell. Despite heavy supervision, approximately two hours after arrival, Williams attempted to commit suicide. Medical personnel were able to stabilize Williams and transport him to a local hospital where he was treated for a puncture type wound. It is currently unknown what Williams used to create the wound.
The arraignment today will require Williams to be present and will also include a hearing regarding a motion filed by his legal counsel, who wants to withdraw from two of his cases. Williams is to appear in court at the Federal Courthouse in Greeneville at 2 PM, before the Magistrate Judge.
