According to the National Weather Service, the combination of low relative humidities, gusty winds, and very dry fuels will lead to an increased risk of dangerous fire behavior through late this afternoon.
Increased fire danger is in effect until 7 PM this evening. Winds will be breezy again today across our higher elevations, 4,000 feet and above. Wind gusts from 25 to 35 mph are expected.
Burning is highly discouraged. Please refer to your local burn permitting authorities on whether you can burn. If you do burn, use extreme caution, since fires can quickly get out of hand under these conditions.
