Police were asked to come to the McDonald’s parking lot on the Asheville Highway, where a male was apparently passed out in a vehicle.
Officers arrived and found a man in asleep in a silver Jeep. The man, Gary Way of the Old Asheville Highway, was awakened and reportedly had a strong odor of alcohol coming from his person. Way performed poorly on field sobriety tests, and was taken into custody for Driving Under the Influence.
