A Greeneville woman was arrested early this morning on assault and burglary charges following an incident at a Hartman Lane property.
The Greene County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene around 1:30 AM. The victim said his wife woke him up and told him a woman was sitting outside the porch of their camper. The man called 911 and could hear the woman, later identified as Monica Fischl, talking incoherently.
The victim said when he went outside, Fischl pulled a knife out and started trying to cut her clothes off. He said she then started walking toward the home he is building on the property and he followed beside her. Fischl allegedly started to wave the knife at him and continued talking incoherently.
Fischl went into the home the victims are building and locked herself inside. When deputies arrived on the scene, Fischl was instructed multiple times to open the door and she refused. Deputies then made entry into the home and started demanding Fischl to show her hands. She refused and sat down. Once deputies could see she did not have anything in her hands, contact was made. Fischl reportedly started fighting and refused to cooperate. She was placed into handcuffs.
Fischl was found to be in possession of a baggie containing a substance identified as meth. The knife she had fell from her person during the altercation.
Fischl was transported to the Greene County Detention Center for aggravated assault, resisting arrest, burglary and possession of a schedule 2 drug.
