A Bean Station man was arrested in Greeneville Wednesday night following a traffic stop.
An officer with the Greeneville Police Department saw a vehicle traveling on East Andrew Johnson Highway without headlights on around 9:30 PM. The vehicle stopped in the parking lot of Burger King.
The driver, identified as James McCullough of Squaw Road, told the officer he was shaking because he has Parkinson’s disease. He was reportedly unsteady on his feet and smelled of alcohol and urine.
He said he had drank a beer or two earlier that day.
McCullough performed poorly on sobriety tests. He was charged with DUI 3rd offense, driving on a revoked license, and violation of the financial responsibility law.
