A Limestone man was arrested Wednesday near East Vann Road for Public Intoxication.
Officers were notified at about 8 AM of a possible intoxicated male on the Asheville Highway, who was jumping in the roadway and talking to himself. While searching for the man, later identified as Shane Myers, the Greeneville Police Department was waived down and told Myers went into the woods off of Takoma Avenue. Myers was reportedly heard yelling and cursing in the woods.
After approaching the suspect, he allegedly had sweat running down his face and was not making sense. He was determined to be under the influence and a possible danger to himself and the public. He was arrested and taken to the Greene County Jail.
