A woman was arrested for driving under the influence Tuesday after reportedly driving reckless and almost hitting multiple cars.
Officers responded to The Bottle Shop on the East Andrew Johnson Highway and found the driver of the vehicle, Ronda Ensor of Georgia, asleep behind the wheel, with the car still in drive. The suspect was woken up by an officer and according to the report; she was confused and unable to unlock the doors. After about 5 minutes she was able to open the door, a strong odor of alcohol was detected.
Sobriety tests were performed but Ensor allegedly was so unsteady on her feet that the officer had to stop the tests for safety reasons. She also reportedly refused to give consent for blood tests and a Breathalyzer. She was arrested for DUI and Violation Implied Consent.
