Three days of early voting remain for the August 3rd Town of Greeneville Municipal Election.
So far, 272 early votes have been cast for the election, with 18 cast Wednesday.
July 14th, the first day for early voting, brought the highest amount of voters with 38 ballots cast.
Last year’s election saw more early votes, totaling 1,089 in the last week.
This year’s election is only for those who reside within Greeneville’s 1st ward. On the ballot for 1st ward council member is Ginny Kidwell, Kristin Girton, and Tim Ward.
This year will be the last odd-year election for the Greeneville City Council. The two candidates who receive the most votes in this year’s election will serve a 3-year term in order to realign with even-year elections in 2026.
Hours for early voting at the Greene County Election Commission Office on CCU Boulevard will be 8:30 AM until 4:30 PM Monday through Friday and Saturday from 8:30 AM until noon.
