Officers responded to drug violations at Relax Inn on Serral Drive Monday around midnight.

While patrolling the parking lot an officer noticed spray paint on a vehicle and ran the tag, they confirmed the tag was registered to another vehicle but was not stolen. According to the report, officers requested a K9 to the scene due to drug activity that occurs at the hotel. K9 Pasa gave a positive alert on the spray painted vehicle.

Video footage was requested for the parking lot and officers saw a male and female exit the car and go into a hotel room. They were told about the positive alert of the vehicle and did not give consent to search. The male was found to have a warrant for Violation of Probation and was arrested. The female that was with him reportedly fled the scene.

During an investigation, officers got a search warrant signed from a judge to search the vehicle. They located a tin container that had suspected Heroin along with a test strip of Fentanyl and Narcan. Underneath the hood of the vehicle they found a box with 19 white pills of suspected Fentanyl, 5.5 pills that were unidentifiable, empty baggies and .5 grams of suspected Heroin.

The man was charged with Manufactured, Sale, Delivery of Controlled Substances, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Warrants were taken for the woman with the same charges.
