Two people were arrested yesterday after they were pulled over on Austin Street for driving without a headlight.
A traffic stop was initiated by a Sergeant with Greeneville Police Department who made contact with the driver, Adam Knight of Greeneville. Knight was placed under arrest due to having a revoked license for a DUI and no insurance. A passenger in the vehicle, Thomas Ollis of Johnson City, was asked to step out due to the vehicle getting towed for no insurance.
After an inventory was made, a baggie containing 3.5 grams of a substance believed to be meth was found on the floorboard near the passenger Ollis. 5 syringes were also found as well as a glass pipe, according to the report.
Both were given charges and arrested.
