Officers responded to a male under the influence who was trying to get into an apartment on Crestview Drive in Greeneville yesterday.
The disturbance occurred about 6:30 AM when the suspect, McHale Bright of Bluff City, arrived, started knocking on the door and attempted to get in. He was later woken up by officers who found him lying on the porch sleeping. He appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, had slurred speech, and was unsteady on his feet.
He was arrested due to possibly being a danger to himself, the property, and to others, and was charged with public intoxication.
