According to the National Weather Service in Morristown, high fire conditions are expected this afternoon into the evening with strong winds.
Relative humidities less than 25 percent can be expected for several hours. Sustained westerly winds of 10 to 20 MPH can also be expected along with occasional gusts of 25 to 35 MPH.
Despite light rain from yesterday, breezy dry conditions will dry fuel moistures very quickly this afternoon. Once fuels become dry, high fire danger conditions can be expected. Please refer to your local burn permitting authorities whether you may burn outdoors.
