The Greene County Sheriff’s Department received two reports of fraudulent purchases on Thursday.
An East Stage Coach Road man reported that someone used his debit card to make unauthorized purchases at three different locations totaling nearly $400. No suspects were known at the time of the report.
A Kelley Gap Road woman reported that someone stole her EBT card information and used it to purchase around $430 worth of items. The victim said there were multiple purchases made in Brooklyn, New York before the card was locked for fraudulent activity.
The fraud reports are under investigation.
