A Lick Hollow Road woman reported that a fake check for over $5,000 was apparently written on her account.
The woman told the Greene County Sheriff’s Department that earlier this week she discovered $5,200 taken out of her account. She notified her bank and it appeared as though the check was fake.
The victim said she never wrote or signed for a check.
The investigation is continuing.
