A Chuckey man suspects that his garage door opener was copied after he noticed items missing from his garage.
The Dinwiddie Road man said that last week when he returned to his vehicle after grocery shopping he noticed the door was unlocked and his garage door opener had been moved. However, nothing was missing from the vehicle.
On Wednesday, the man discovered several food items were missing from his garage freezer. There was no noticeable damage to his garage door, but he found it unlocked. Later that day, the victim found that the interior chain on his front door had been pushed to the point where screws had come out of the wall. No items appeared to be missing from the residence.
The victim told the Greene County Sheriff’s Department that he believes his garage door opener was copied and that the suspect somehow has a copy of his door key due to no damage being found on the doors.
There were no known suspects at the time of the report.
