Four Greene Devil wrestlers would continue to show why Greeneville is the standard of east Tennessee wrestling by winning state titles at the TSSAA Wrestling State Tournament over the weekend.

Senior Morgan Lowery would win the state title at 195 pounds a year after missing the State Tournament due to injury. Lowery would finish in 3rd place his sophomore year.

Senior Colin Dupill would win the state title at 152 pounds and brother Sophomore Carson Dupill would win the title at 120 pounds. Colin has signed with South Dakota State to continue his wrestling career and now adds a Tennessee State Title to his trophy case where he already featured two Virginia state titles from his Freshman and Sophomore seasons. Younger brother Carson wins his second state title and continues to climb the national ranking list.

The standout of this year’s tournament was Hunter Mason, who won the state title at 145 pounds. It was Mason’s fourth state title in his four years as a Greene Devil. Mason and Colin Dupil became the first public school teammates to become four-time state champions at the same time, according to Tate Russell of Grassroots Media.

Hunter Mason was named the Class A State Tournament Most Outstanding Wrestler after getting the pin in the finals to win his fourth state title. Junior Jenna Baines would finish third place at 107 pounds following a win on Saturday.
