A man is in custody after fleeing from officers Friday afternoon.
Greene County Sheriff Wesley Holt said that Levi Pritch was observed speeding on 11-E and refused to stop for officers. Pritch fled thru the Mt. Pleasant Industial Park, to Blue Springs Parkway, and on to Grassy Creek Road.
Pritch continued to the Rogersville Highway and turned back toward town.
Holt said that spike strips were deployed at both Lover’s Lane and near Dought’s Chapel, but Pritch continued to flee on just one tire and three bare rims.
At 11-E, Pritch turned southbound to Mosheim and cut across at the Mohawk Crossroads. Holt said that the driver then turned into oncoming traffic, but veered into the median as 18 wheelers approached.
He was taken into custody on a precious warrant and will face a litany of new charges.
Assisting the Sheriff’s department were the Mosheim Police Department and the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
