A woman was arrested yesterday with multiple charges after the Greeneville Police Department was flagged down by a pedestrian, about a car that rolled over in a ditch.
The accident occurred on Industrial and Poor Farm Road around 4:30 yesterday afternoon. The driver, Geneva Davis of Limestone, was found with no injuries. According to the report, Davis stated she was driving to the store and tried to grab her phone, causing her to almost hit a vehicle. In attempt to avoid hitting the car, she turned and drove over an embankment on the side of the road. She refused medical attention.
While conducting an inventory of the vehicle, an overwhelming smell of marijuana was detected. Davis stated police would find 4 grams, but a total of 56 grams of marijuana and a pipe were located in the glove box. Another metal pipe was later found in her front left pocket. She was placed under arrest.
