With a losing record for the majority of the first half of the season, the Greeneville boys’ basketball team has picked a perfect time to begin to peak as the Greene Devils have now won ten of their last eleven games including a 55-40 win over Cocke County in the District 2-AAA Championship on Tuesday.
The Greene Devils were led in the win by Adjatay Dabbs with 19 points while Jayquan Price added 16 and Kam Lester with 10 in the win. Dabbs was named Tournament MVP while Price, Lester, and Trey Thompson were named to the All-Tournament Team.
With the win, Greeneville has now won 20 straight postseason games dating back to the 2021 District Tournament. Greeneville will look to keep that streak rolling as they host Sullivan East in the Region Tournament quarterfinal on Saturday from Hal Henard gymnasium with radio coverage on 99.5 FM WGRV.
