A vehicle was stolen from a residence in Afton yesterday about 3 PM, after a man approached the victim asking for food or a drink.
According to the report from the Greene County Sheriff’s Department, the victim of Ripley Island Road, stated a male, later identified as Marcus Shores, approximately 6 ft. tall, a slender build, with red curly hair came to her door asking for food or something to drink. After letting the man know she didn’t have anything to give him, he left and got into her vehicle.
The victim stated she had her vehicle door open to let it air out, before leaving the residence. The suspect Shores, drove away with the car and was later stopped by the Johnson City Police Department on other charges and taken into custody.
