A Greeneville man was arrested after he was found in possession of fentanyl during a traffic stop on Thursday afternoon.
A vehicle driven by Tevis Young of Housely Avenue was stopped around 5:00 PM at the gas pumps at Walmart for driving on revoked license.
Young appeared as though he was trying to hide something. He gave permission for a search of the vehicle, which produced 5.3 grams of a white powder in a baggie that field tested positive for fentanyl. Several new baggies were found in the car as well.
Young was taken into custody for the manufacture, delivery or sale of a controlled substance, along with possession of drug paraphernalia.
A passenger in the vehicle was taken to the Greene County Workhouse for an X-ray scan, but was released after it came back clear.
