A man was arrested this morning after it was reported a suspicious person was walking in the middle of the West Andrew Johnson Highway in Mohawk.
Deputies responded after 4 AM this morning and found a man in the suspected area and observed them walking in the middle of the roadway on the yellow line in all black. The suspect was identified as Aaron Aistrop of Church Hill. According to the report, while speaking with the suspect there was an odor of alcohol and he also stated he had cottonmouth, which was suspected to be from other drug use.
He was placed into custody for his safety and the safety of others driving on the highway. He was transported to the Greene County Detention Center.
