A transformer off an AC Unit might have been the cause of a fire on the 1400 block of Black Road in Greeneville Wednesday afternoon.
Deputies responded to the structure fire at around 5:15 PM. According to the report, the victim was outside playing with her daughter when she saw smoke coming from inside of the home. Another child was inside napping at the time. The victim reported that once she saw the smoke she ran inside to grab the child and brought them back outside.
EMS checked the child once they arrived on the scene. No injuries were reported. The Fire Department believes the fire started from a transformer.
