The Tennessee Highway Patrol responded to a possible crash Tuesday around 7:45 PM involving a pedestrian in front of 686 Old Knoxville Highway.
During the investigation it was discovered that the driver, Shelia Larson, was placing items into a truck in the driveway of the residence at which time the vehicle came out of gear and began to roll backwards. The vehicle rolled backwards and struck several trees on the other side of the road and went into a ditch. Mrs. Larson became pinned between the truck door and a tree.
She was helped by EMS out of the vehicle and transported to the Johnson City Medical Center with unknown injuries. According to the report, Mrs. Larson was alert and speaking with EMS when she was taken from the scene.
