If you’ve not visited the Andrew Johnson National Cemetery in Greeneville, it is quite impressive this time of year.
For 15 years wreaths Across America has helped decorate the graves of countless service members.
2,040 wreaths were laid at the National Cemetery on Thursday, by scouts, ROTCs, volunteers, and Greeneville businesses. The Cemetery is one of 1,600 sites in the country participating in the event ‘Wreaths Across America’, which originally began in 1992. Our community members lay wreaths for veterans as a small thing to do in honor and remembrance.
