A Greeneville man was arrested for DUI following an accident on Monday evening.
The Greeneville Police Department responded to the wreck on East Andrew Johnson Highway in front of Walmart shortly after 7:00 PM.
A Chevy truck driven by Michael Vaughn of Hillcrest Drive reportedly crashed into the back of an SUV driven by Amberly Jackson of West Ridge Road in Jonesborough. Jackson said that she stopped when the crash occurred, but Vaughn held down the accelerator instead of stopping too.
Jackson had suspected minor injuries from the crash.
According to the police report, Vaughn appeared intoxicated and was unable to complete field sobriety tests. He was arrested for DUI and transported to the Greene County Detention Center.
