An Afton home sustained extensive damage in a fire at 1345 Greene Ridge Loop on Thursday night.
The Greene County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene around 9:45 PM. Firefighters said the fire looked to have originated in the back left side of the house. The residence did have extensive smoke damage throughout the interior. The homeowners estimated the damage to be around $160,000. Two cats were lost in the fire as well.
