Three juveniles have been arrested in connection with a shooting incident late last month that killed one person and injured another.
Shortly before 3:00 AM on October 30, Greeneville/Greene County Central Dispatch received a call about a shooting at 1040 Old Asheville Highway. Two people were discovered with gunshot wounds when the Greeneville Police Department arrived on the scene.
The two were transported to a local hospital for treatment. Later that morning, 22-year-old Juan Tauscher of the residence on Old Asheville Highway died from his injuries. The other person injured in the shooting was recovering from non-life threatening injuries.
The Greeneville Police Department and Tennessee Bureau of Investigation announced this afternoon the arrests of three juvenile suspects in the homicide. No further information has been released on the suspects due to their ages.
The Greeneville Police Department thanked the citizens of Greeneville and Greene County who provided information during the investigation.
