A mobile home near Baileyton was destroyed by fire Sunday afternoon.
The United and Newmansville Volunteer Fire Departments were dispatched just after 3:30 PM to the home at 1427 Miller’s Chapel Road. The home was engulfed in flames when fire fighters arrived at the scene. The fire was brought under control just after 4:00 PM.
According to a Sherioff’s Department report released this morning , the property and contents , owned by Kenneth Jones, were valued at $30,000.
EMS and the Greeneville Energy Authority also responded to the scene.
