Melissa “Missy” Christian, 50, of the Lost Mountain Pike community, passed away unexpectedly Oct. 15, 2026, at her home.
Missy was a loving mother, granny and daughter. She attended Vann Hill Free Will Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children, Malkom Horton (Yvette), Kila Bernard (Ethan) and Adam Bernard; grandchildren, Ivy Horton, Malakai Horton, Mayella Dunn, Harper Dunn and Marci Dunn; parents, Richard and Georgia Christian, and Sandy Christian (Robert Jones); niece and nephew, Katie Smith (Shawn, Enslee and Grayson Smith) and Colby Seymore; special friend whom she thought of as her mother, Kathy Bernard; brothers, Dub Christian and Jason Boggs; and sister, Mika Christian.
She is reunited with her sister, Crystal White.
The family will receive friends from noon-2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, 2026, at Vann Hill Free Will Baptist Church, with the funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. The Rev. Bob Simpson will officiate. Interment will follow in Morrison Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
