The Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development reported this afternoon that Greene County’s unemployment rate in April was 3.1 percent, down from 3.5 percent in March.
Greene County’s rate in April 2023 was also 3.1 percent.
The unemployment rate for April 2024 decreased in all of Tennessee’s 95 counties. Williamson County had the lowest rate at 2 percent, while Lauderdale and Clay counties had the highest at 4.1 percent.
Tennessee’s unemployment rate for April decreased slightly to 3.1 percent, matching the all-time low for the state.
